And according to Memorex it's the remote provider's responsibility to provide the codes. What is not logical is why they can't get those codes. That's logical - I'd pretty much figured that part out on my own. I don't mind using a second remote for DVDs and tapes.ĭirecTV "explained" to me that combos use different codes than single devices. I would be happy to simply find the code that would pair it with the TV so I could use one remote to turn the TV and satellite receiver on/off, change the volume and change the channels.
I cannot find the proper codes to pair it with the TV, VCR or DVD player. The RC32 remote will only operate the satellite receiver and change the channels. I added a second DirecTV receiver and was provided a second remote control - the DirecTV RC32. I recently purchased a Memorex TV/VCR/DVD combo, model number MVDT2002B.
